Our Story

In 2007, our home gained another four paws of love as we call Jax. Rescued from a local shelter from upstate New York, Jax a rambunctious Miniature Schnauzer, has given us many laughs through the years; officially obtaining the name Crazy Jax, as we never know what we will come home to now! As our hearts have grown with so much love from this one little creature, we felt we needed to give back to the place that brought us together. We started this company based on a great response from a fundraiser we did for the shelter we adopted Jax from. It was from there our kitchen became busy with requests for more, as a line of tails wagging grew. Fast forward to January 2010 and Jaxy Paws was officially formed to cater to our best friends.

 
My husband and I could not think of a better way to keep Jax and Dublin (Jax's older brother) happy other than giving them healthy and great tasting treats. We strive to eat healthy ourselves, why not our four legged children? Why give your best friend treats filled with preservatives when you can be feeding them wholesome organic and nutritional biscuits like? Finding desired treats can be very difficult, I would read nutritional facts and most treats would include one of the four most common allergies for dogs. I decided to try baking myself to save some money, and honestly know what was going into the baked goods. The first batches of peanut butter biscuits were made, and I had no complaints. Jaxy Paws has created a variety of different tasting biscuits and also other baked goods. All treats and baked goods are made with 100% organic ingredients and are Wheat, Soy, Corn, and Egg free. Why do you ask? Wheat, Soy, Egg, and Corn are the leading food allergies among dogs. Most treats are made with these items and they can be upsetting to your dogs stomach and/or skin. We have removed these items from the ingredients used. Ensuring the best products are used, and consistency of organic, freshness, and only the best for our canine clientele most ingredients used are processed right in our home to keep all nutritional value as possible. We mill all flour used in each treat, which is Oat and Rice Flour (White and Brown rice.) We make our own unsweetened applesauce, unsalted peanut butter, puree organic carrots, spinach, zucchini, and other items used in our treats.
